    Ters ozmoz içinde çok az mineralin olduğu saf su (permeate) üretmektedir. Saf su çok korrozif (asidik) olduğundan ters ozmoz sonrasında hatta ulunan boruları ve depoları korumak için suya mineral (alkali) ilavesi gerekmektedir.
    Yağmur suyu ve ters ozmoz permeatı gibi asidik suları nötralize etmek kalsiyum ve bikarbonat ilave etmek için su kalsit dolgusu içerisinden geçirilir. Eğer su karbondioksit içermiyorsa filtre öncesi suya karbondioksit enjekte edilmelidir.
    Suyun kalsit ve karbondioksit kullanılarak remineralize edilmesi ile ilgili reaksiyon aşağıda verilmiştir.;

    2 CO2 + Ca(OH)2 > Ca(HCO3)2

    enki enki müşteri istekleri doğrultusunda kalsit filtre dizayn etmektedir.
